DragonFlight Universal Motor Pod Mount

The one that started it all.

$200USD

The DragonFlight Universal Motor Pod Mount is a precision-engineered 3D-printed mount that fits FoilDrive, 6384, and 6374 motors. Designed and made in South Africa for the global foiling community.

Key Features

TPU body + ABS motor puck
Auto-guide cable tie system
Under 5 min install
Universal motor fit
Spacer + hardware included
No drilling required

Three Components. Zero Compromise.

Each part is purpose-built and 3D-printed for its specific role.

Side Profile

Black = ABS motor puck · White = spacer (non-FoilDrive) · Red = flexible TPU body

Internal Puck

Hard ABS puck with 8 precision screw positions — 4 for universal motors, 4 for FoilDrive. Sits inside the TPU shell.

TPU Exterior

Flexible TPU body with auto-guide cable tie channels. The slots guide ties through both TPU and ABS for maximum rigidity.

Best performance. Lowest cost. Universal fit. The math checks out.

Less disruption. Less cost. More ride. That's the evolution.

Engineered Different

Minimal Disruption to Laminar Flow

The pod's side profile sits tight against the mast with the lowest possible frontal area. Water flows around it, not into it. The teardrop shape and trailing edge were iterated dozens of times to minimize drag — because every fraction of a knot matters when you're foiling.

Hard ABS Motor Puck — 8 Screw Positions

The motor puck is 3D-printed in hard ABS for maximum rigidity. Eight precision screw positions are built in — four for universal motors (6384/6374) and four specifically for FoilDrive motors. The puck sits inside the flexible TPU body, giving you a rock-solid motor platform that won't flex under load.

Auto-Guide Cable Tie Channels

This was the hardest part to design — and the bit I'm most proud of. Precision channels guide the cable ties through both the TPU body and the ABS puck, which adds serious rigidity to the whole assembly. The ties exit on the opposite side of the pod where you pull them tight with pliers. No screws from the front. No drilling into your mast. To remove after a session? Cut two cable ties and you're done. The three small security screws on the back are optional — for those who want extra peace of mind.
